Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom — Into the Full Process

At The Duncan Academy, learning doesn't happen only in the classroom — it happens after class, and across all the moments in between. For international students in particular, how time outside class is used directly affects how much sticks. That's why we pair online courses with an after-school support system: so learning isn't a "class ends, done" loop, but an ongoing process that can be adjusted and topped up over time.

Lumon Online School

Lumon Online School gives students more flexibility in what they study and how they study it. As the online learning platform inside the Duncan education system, Lumon covers nearly every core high-school course and most of the major electives — a complete online complement to on-campus study.

For students who need to add credits, rearrange a course schedule, or expand beyond their current courses, the online option becomes a meaningful extension of in-school study. Students can adjust their courses stage by stage at their own pace, so the overall pathway stays a good fit for each individual.

The strength of online courses is flexibility. Whether the situation is a school transfer, a scheduling conflict, a missing credit, a pace adjustment, or a desire to finish certain courses early — online learning opens up more room to choose. It removes scheduling constraints and helps students transition smoothly between stages.

Lumon Online School isn't meant to replace the in-person classroom — it sits alongside it, offering a more flexible and more complete support system around the existing courses. When students need to transition, adjust, or supplement, they have more ways to keep learning continuous.
